“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” — Viktor E. Frankl

It is my sincere hope that through the practice of yoga, students come home to themselves. Through breathing, asana, meditation and laughter, I encourage students to show up to their mats with an open heart and open mind. The practice will look different every time and that’s cool. This is not a routine or performance and it sure as heck isn’t perfect. This is a practice that you can use throughout your entire life so that you can feel home in your body. And when you are at home in yourself you can feel more at home in the world.

Yoga Teacher.

Sound Healer.

Health Coach.

Reiki Practitioner.

Always a student of nature

I first came to my yoga mat as an alternative workout and for injury prevention after spending years on the soccer and lacrosse fields I loved so much. I quickly felt not only physical relief, but a greater connection to my true self. As a lifelong athlete and former college lacrosse player, I was in the habit of pushing myself forward all the time, even if that meant pain and injury. Finally letting go of that narrative I am working on myself inside and out. I’m still an athlete, having run 2 marathons and 9 half marathons plus rock climbing and paddle boarding. The practices I share with my students are ones I use myself to soothe not just my body but my heart. Yoga is an invitation to have a conversation with my body about what’s best in a given moment. Along with breath work and meditation, this connection deepened and opened a door for self-exploration and spirituality. And it is from this place that I was called to teach yoga.

What’s your intention?

Sankalpa is a sanskrit word meaning an intention formed by the heart and mind -- a solemn vow, determination, or will. In practical terms a Sankalpa  or intention means a one-pointed resolve to focus both psychologically and philosophically on a specific goal.

My intention is to create a safe and loving space so students can connect to themselves–body, heart and soul. Yoga is an exploration, a conversation and journey. I will encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and try something new. It doesn’t have to be the same every time and it’s certainly not a performance. Your yoga practice should be as creative and unique as you are…I’m here to make suggestions.

Through your yoga practice my hope is that you find something authentic that speaks to you and encourages you to be your best self…both on and off the mat.

Through reiki and sound healing my intention is to be a conduit for healing. I am as vessel for loving compassion to help you tap into this energy as well. you have everything you need to succeed, I’m just here to travel the path with you and offer guidance along the way

“Mindfulness helps you to go home to the present. And every time you go there and recognize a condition of happiness that you have, happiness comes.” - Thich Nhat Hanh
